Well hello again..  Here it is June 15'th already.  Holy cow.  Where did that time go.  All of May has gone and half of June..  Been very busy.

Raising the funds for this project is a huge task.    Well, when your after 2.6 million, it seems impossible.  Especially when we are being so busy wrapping up our latest projects so we can get them up on line for all to see.   Our fundraising goals are a bit sluggish right now, but I can see them picking up steam as the summer gets closer.  I still think we can start the shelter in the fall for this one.  

When it comes to choosing your method of tratment for any illness, whose right is it to decide what we ought to have?  Yours?  Your Dr's? The governments?  There is a big controversy all over the news these days about the mother in the US who ran away from home with her son because she didn't want to subject him to the brutal Chemotherapy the Dr's believe he needs.  

Medical treatments and Pharmakia have their place and we have to give credit where credit is due - For a 5 year survival rate without the specific canceryou were diagnosed with, the medical profession is starting to get up to about a 30% success rate, when you take into account ALL cancers.  That means you have a 70% chance of not surviving.  With Alopathic treatments, the drugs compromise the immune system and make it very difficult for your body to heal itself.  Chemo is a carcinogen.  Why would you want to give a cancer patient a drug that causes cancer to treat cancer?  Doesn't seem logical.  Occam's razor comes to mind.

I'm with the Mom in this case.  I'd run away too.  There's a whole legal mess she's created because of her marriage license and the birth certificate for her son, but that's a whole other topic that doesn't lend itself to this forum. 

This is one reason why the Wellness Bay is being created.  So choices can be available.  Yes, Alopathic medicine works 30% of the time.  But I have seen documented cases where natural treatments can be 100% effective.  Have a look at the Gerson Institute.   And the CARE program.  Both of these methods used together cannot be a bad thing.  Gerson Methods are having a tremendous success rate and adding the powerful benefits of pure, unadulterated essential oils and massage techniques will be a new boost to an already majorly effective program.

Please know we do indeed appreciate your ongoing support, comments and ideas to help get this project into full swing.  We are moving the purchase of the plans to July for 2 reasons - If the $4,000 isn't there for it, we cannot buy them.  Credit and I don't get along very well and  Mr Horstman has given us plenty of his time and knowledge, I cannot expect him to take any less than his $3,000 USD asking price for the plans.   It will be very well worth it for the help and guidance he will have for us along the way to launch.

Hi Folks!  Thanks for visiting.  It is time to start the process for building the floating retreat, Wellness Bay.

I'm excited about this boat project because it not only will give us a new challenge in the energy use and gathering department, it gives hope to many people that are facing the most stressful time of their lives.   Where their health may be compromised and floating around on a boat will improve their health just from the relaxation incurred.

We know that stress is the number one cause of symptoms.  Stress has been said to cause up to 81% of all disease out there.  When you relieve the stress - the symptoms can go away.  What better way to do that, than to relax on an 80 foot tri-maran boat cruising the oceans of the world?.  

Yes, an 80 foot boat.   After consulting with the designer, Ed Horstman, on build times, cost and sheer SIZE of the vessel, we decided that 80 feet would be a large enough boat for the first one.  Ed has been very generous with his time and materials.  He included the study plans for the 80 as well as the 104 foot tri-marans.  Let me just say he's a great guy and I am looking forward to getting to know him more as the build progresses.  Visit his site to see what other designs he's got.

The Wellness Bay will be built using sandwich core and sheathed  construction with fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin.   I really like this boat building technique because it is simple.  One can do it with mostly regular tools.  It produces an extremely fair hull and the build goes rather quickly.   

The boat will have electric drives and be powered with 120 volt Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4) batteries.  Batteries will be charged via wind, solar and a high efficiency electric 220V generator.   All house systems will be 24 volt.  All lighting will be LED.  This will be a very modern and luxurious tri-maran.

Accommodations on the Wellness Bay will be for 8 to 10 guests with a crew of 6.  Captain, First Mate, Dietitian, Deck Hand, Naturapath and Massage Therapist, latter two doubling as deck hands when needed.  Hot tub and sauna will be used to help detoxify.  The forward area will be for games and laughter.  After all Laughter IS the best way to regain health! 

All food will be healthy, organic and grown with open pollinated seeds.  The consensus in the Naturapathic world is that if we feed our bodies the right things, they get the nutrition they need so the body can do it's job.  Be healthy.  Since we are what our food "eats",  there is no better food than open pollinated organically grown veggies, fruits and nuts.  And lots of juice made from same.  Did I mention that it's for your health?

The Wellness Bay will be a retreat that is second to none in luxury, care and letting the energy of the universe "do it's thing" with the right ingredients.   If we manage to help one soul's earthly vessel regain health it will all be worth it.

Now for the facts and figures.  Projected costs for the Wellness Bay are:

• Labour:  $625,000 Canadian Dollars or about $32,000 in gold coin
• Materials: $1,750,000 Canadian dollars or about $75,000 in gold coin
• Shop Space: $110,000 Canadian Dollars or about $6,000 in gold coin
• Miscellaneous Expenses: $100,000 Canadian Dollars or about $5,500 gold coin

Giving us a total budget of $2,585,000 CAD or about $130,000 in gold coin. 

Figures for gold are based on a $50 face value of a one ounce gold coin regardless of the exchange rate between Canadian dollars and gold.

Our first milestone is the acquisition of the full sized tri-maran plans.  This is a $4,000 need with all the exchange and shipping costs.  As you can see by the meter we are already 1/4 the way there!!  This is very exciting.  This number will be growing every day and we look forward to soon be able to see more than the tiny speck of red in the "thermometer" to show the progress.
