The Wellness Bay came to being through research and the conclusion that there is a different way to attack life threatening conditions. Studies have concluded time and time again that nutrition is the key to good health. Add a complete nutrition diet to the relaxed atmosphere of a luxury yacht cruise and your stress level drops to non existent. No stress allows your body to start working properly to use your own immune system to take care of whatever ailment you may have.
Add complete nutrition from organic sources and you have a recipe for dis-ease reversal and well being.
This is a HUGE undertaking and we have a goal of launching her as soon as possible. After all - how long does someone with a life threatening ailment have to wait? Tentative launch date is fall 2011 to spring 2012. This size of a project must have flexible times because of the scope of the undertaking and possibilities of oversight.
We decided on a boat for this project because the laws of many nations do not allow this type of treatment for ailments. On the open ocean, one is free to do as one chooses. We will also have the foresight to have the ship registered in a jurisdiction that is friendly to natural health practices.
We chose a trimaran because of it's HUGE deck space and useful area. Also because it has a VERY stable platform, not allowing any more of a heel than is designed into the vessel. This one about 10 degrees or so. Comfortable sailing and again, very stable.
We chose the name Wellness Bay, because it is the antonym of what most ships call their medical center. we don't want anyone sick here, and we also believe in the power and energy of positive thought processes. After all, this will be a place to go to get AND BE well again.
Our financial goals for this project, as you can well imagine, are sky high. We estimate between 5 - 7 million dollars for the construction of the vessel . The actual figure isn't in yet as we are still developing a builder's spec for the vessel. and then we are looking at a yearly operational budget of $450 - 500,000 . Our short term goal is to have 1.5 million "in the bank" by the September so we can get started on her construction. She will be built as the money flows in.
We also have a lofty goal of having to charge as little as we possibly can to the patrons of the Wellness Bay. We are not the type who would refuse participation because of money.
Proceeds from electric propulsion conversions, inflatable boats, hemp, LED consults and anything you'd care to give us will go toward furthering our cause. End goal? A healthy and vobrant population where dis-ease doesn't exist.
